Pampa, Texas – A two-vehicle crash led to the death of two Clarendon residents.
The incident occurred around 9:00 Thursday morning six miles south of Pampa on Highway 70.
Troopers say Courtney Scales was driving on a steep incline at an unsafe speed for wet roads. He lost control, slid sideways across both lanes, and then crashed into a Hyundai.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai, Jerry and Colette Gordon of Clarendon, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Scales was taken to the hospital for a possible injury.
