A car crash around 9:21 am in Hutchinson County resulted in the death of one man on Tuesday morning. The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that 44-year-old Ronald Smith, of Borger, was driving his Mitsubishi Montero Sport westbound on Highway 152 when his back right tire blew. Smith lost control of the car, which rolled and ejected him. He was transported to the Pampa Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Ray Walsh. The car’s passenger, 42-year-old Kelly Burris, also of Borger, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was wearing her seat-belt. Smith was not.
