DPS responded to a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Potter County, resulting in the death of one person.
At 6:30 a.m., Grover Burnham, the driver of a 2007 Freightliner Century truck tractor towing a 2007 Great Dane semi-trailer, was traveling southbound on FM 1912.
DPS reports that the driver failed to yield right-of-way at the intersection of FM 1912 and US 287 and began to cross over the northbound lanes of US 287 in an attempt to turn left onto US 287 south.
41-year-old Wyatt Cravens, Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colo., was driving a 1981 Chevrolet Corvette northwest on US 287 and collided into the semi-trailer that was blocking both lanes of travel on US 287 north, resulting in the death of Cravens.
Cravens was pronounced dead on scene by Potter County, Justice of the Peace, Richard Herman.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.
Both men were both wearing seat-belts.
