No injuries were reported in an accident involving two tractor-trailers and a pickup Sunday afternoon on Interstate 40.
The vehicles were eastbound on I-40 near the Washington Street exit when Alan Tafoya, driving a 2014 Ram 1500, said traffic came to an abrupt stop in front of him.
“There was a semi truck in front of me,” Tafoya said. “It swerved out of the way because … a car was stopped in traffic. I barely had enough time to stop before hitting the car that was in front of him and the guy behind me barely had enough time to stop, but then the guy behind him hit him and pushed him into me.”
Jasveer Singh was driving a 2015 Volvo semitrailer that he says was pushed into the pickup.
“He stopped in front of me and I moved to the right … then this semi hit me from behind.”
The driver of the second semi declined to be interviewed.
